Art is a native Washingtonian who attended The University of Washington (Go Dawgs!). He studied psychology earning his Bachelor of Science with an elementary education certificate. Art became a third-grade teacher until he found his true passion and calling as a school librarian. Later he completed a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology and recently he received his Library Media Specialist endorsement from SPU. While attending the UW he was a member of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on campus and served on a mission trip to Mendenhall, Mississippi. He served as an elder while a member of the Federal Way Vineyard Christian Fellowship. His family began attending Faith in 2014 to see if it would be a good fit for their children, and never left. He volunteers in Kids of Faith as a large group leader. He is currently the school librarian at a middle school in Auburn where he co-leads the Young Life club. He greatly enjoys working with the students and adults at Faith.
