Faith Church’s tradition of receiving a special offering as a Christmas gift for one our mission partners is upon us.
 
This year, we are excited to team up with our long-term partner, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission.

Our partnership isn’t just historical — it’s alive and active. 

This very month, we’ve
  •   served women and children at Kent Hope
  • our women’s ministry has served at the UGM warehouse in Kent
  • our men’s ministry has served at the UGM warehouse in Kent
  • individuals from our U25 ministry have gone on “Search & Rescue” trips
  • we’ve celebrated with graduates from the Men’s Recovery Program

And when you include activities since the summer—teaching at UGM’s downtown Seattle location, speaking at one of the graduations, and our staff touring the new Women and Children’s Shelter and participating in a Search & Rescue trip—you know Faith Church is all-in!

So, what exactly is our Christmas gift supporting? 

UGM has built a “Women and Children's Shelter” that includes 112 beds to provide temporary, emergency housing for women and children. 
 
These short-term stays give women and children a safe place to get rest and nutrition in a Christ-centered environment. The women will also be given opportunities to get additional clothing, medical care, and discuss the variety of additional programs UGM offers to help them take their next step towards hope and healing.
 

What’s the Financial Goal? 

  • If we give $24,000, we can provide bedding and towels for EVERY bed. (112 beds)
  • If we give $35,000, we can provide bedding and towels for EVERY bed PLUS the furniture for 5 rooms!
  • If we give $45,000, we can provide bedding and towels for EVERY bed PLUS the furniture for 10 rooms!
