Kristen was born and raised in the Chicago area and fully intended to spend the rest of her life there until she met and married Cornelius whose love for travel and adventure took them to Georgia, back to Illinois, Michigan, and finally Washington, where they have lived for over 20 years. Kristen earned her Bachelor in Psychology from Miami University, and her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College (IL) and worked with individuals, couples, and families until the kids came along. Kristen and Cornelius have been married for over 30 years and have three grown children, Jonathan, Matthew, and Grace, and one dog, Wally, who is just plain nuts. She enjoys diving into the Word, reading, hiking, camping, dog sports, connecting with people, and spending time with family.
